My Father is German, Mother Italian, I sling **** left, right and centre about Germans and Italians, people don't like it, people can't handle the Crout, Jew, Wog jokes.

Another thing that shits me is at Adelaide Oval, the old score board has the two black flags and no Aussie flag, that to me is insulting, disgusting and disgraceful.

The bikie laws are a joke and no I'm not affiliated to a club or know of anyone that is, we are all Australian in this country, if you were born here you are Australian, no matter what your blood lines are, if you came here to live, you are Australian, you live under our flag, our laws, our way of life, not some middle eastern flag, not some black flag (cue Henry Rollins), if you want respect, give it first, you want to be treated equal, simple, treat me equally.

Also, the lack of treatment our returned servicemen and women get is disgusting, don't people realise that these people are trained to kill, trained to expect and see the worst of life, the lack of support for our veterans coming home is shocking and no wonder so many turn to heavy drugs and suicide.

The lack of support our farmers get is disgusting as well, families having to sell up, having to sell to overseas companies, suicide rate amongst farmers is also high, as well as their families.

The crap that is put on TV doesn't help either, Dora the Explorer? C'mon, I grew up on G.I.Joe, Transformers, Vultron, He Man, Garfield, The Muppet Show, The Simpsons.

Schools educating children about their sexuality, it's OK to be gay, if you are a boy and want to wear a dress it's OK, list goes on, children at young ages shouldn't even be thinking of these things, they should be out on the playground, eating dirt, throwing dirt clogs at each other, playing footy, cricket, chasey.

Another thing, if these people that support ISIS, ISIL, extreme Islam, yes there is a difference between extreme Islam and the Islam religion, are still in our country preachng this crap, then why aren't they removed, why aren't they taken in?

WHY THE HELL is David Hicks walking our streets? He turned his back on his country, his family, his friends and went to fight against our families, friends, way of life.

Russian President Putin once said, if you want to live in our country, you live by our law, our rules, our way of life, if not, you must leave, now what is wrong with that? Nothing!

The AFL having rounds for indigenous people, what the? why do they get a round? Wouldn't that cme under Multi Cultural round? Adam Goodes Australian of the Year, oh please.

I have seen whats wrong with this world in my years as a Police officer (this is my last week :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: end of watch on Friday ), the same call out to people who think its ok to beat up their partner , children when they've had a bad day , people who think its ok to drink themselves into a stupor and then drive home and kill another driver on the way , homeless people on the bones of their ass , they can't stay on the streets as not safe anymore , young kids on the street , whose parents don't care about them , and the agencies who are supposed to help can't because of " cut backs to funding " , the problem with world is that people are just ####ing selfish , and that's but just one .

I see you mention homelessness. I work in this field and boy the system is broken.

Another thing I find offensive is insinuating every male is a pedophile. My Father is 83 and is an avid photographer who likes to take pictures of people (including children) going about their day, none of those posey pics for the camera, just stroll around and capture people going about their day. He has from many years ago some amazing portraits of humans of all ages however this passion was stopped for him years ago when it was determined by a handful that anyone pointing a camera at a child must be some sort of sexual predator. Or how about the innocence of finding joy sitting in a park watching children at play, oh imagine the outcry from neurotic mothers.

I was having a rough day so I decided to have a coffee. A couple of tables across was a young girl with her mum. This girl must have known that I was feeling down & smiled at me. Her smile took my worries away & I smiled back. He mother noticed this & gave me the death stare of a pedofile which really made me nervous. She ended up grabbing her child to sit on her lap facing away from me while still giving me a death stare. It was that bad I had to leave my coffee & walk out from the cafe. It sickens me that mothers out there are conditioning their children against anyone who looks or smiles at them. All I needed was something/someone to cheer me up & that girl broke that by smiling at me. Since when smiling has become a crime?

And The Kardashians, F#ck me those crack whores are everywhere. My missus reads womens whatever it is mag and usually takes the old mags to the hairdressers when she gets a pile of them. Last time she collected them up I commented about how there was something kardashian on each cover, so we counted them.....19 magazines in total and 19 of them had a story of some sort about the kardashian clan. I mean seriously, is there nothing important or news worthy going on in Australia that an Aussie womens mag has to repeatedly publish articles about these skanks from America. They are only famous because their dad was O.J Simpsons lawyer and Kim took it up the arse from some big black american footballer on video. Don't even get me started on that Kanye West twat...

Mate, I can't stand these idiots & you're right, they're everywhere. They are a waste of oxygen. They make themselves out to be such do-gooders & try & hide their notoriety. They'd probably make more money making porn movies. They do absolutely nothing for anyone.

I came to Australia with my 10 pound pom parents where at school we all teased each other about our heritages and called each other snowflakes, darkies, wogs, poms, ities etc. We all took the piss, we all got along and no one was afraid to tell a joke. If you thought you genuinely hurt or upset someone, you said sorry and all laughed it off.
My sense of humour is warped and wicked however I can no longer share what I perceive as funny with anyone other than very close friends and family otherwise I will be the next one up before HR or the Judge having offended someone's little feelings.

My parents came out here in the mid-60's from the UK in their late teens. My dad was a miner & was hoping to get a job in the mines in WA. He couldn't get one cos he was a Pom. Mum couldn't get a job anywhere as she has a 95% hearing loss & was educated at the University of Manchester since she was 2yrs old. Mum's education was very different than most. Mum learnt to lip read as well as sign & if you looked at her back then you wouldn't have thought she has a major hearing loss. Both mum & dad couldn't drink at the pubs as they were under 21 even though they had been in pubs in the UK. Their time in Perth was tough so they moved to Sydney. Dad got a job on the Water Board (Sydney Water) where he was digging tunnels up in the Northern Beaches to get them off septic tanks. This continued up until he medically retired. When I was born mum taught me how to sign first so officially it's my first language. When I learnt to speak I spoke a mixture of Australian & Northern English. I was teased rotten at school being called a Pommy Bastard even though I was born here. It still confuses people here today & people from the UK. My humour is like yours & some have a hard time trying to understand it. Even my one-liners are pretty dark & warped.

Mate, my surname looks German, sounds German but it's actually old Danish (blame that from the pillage the village competitions the vikings did on the east coast of Britain). My background is Scottish, English, Irish & French. No one can spell my first name properly & my surname has had a ton of variations. Back in high school we had a new kid who came from Northern Italy. He had blonde hair, blue eyes etc & his family all came from the same town. His grandparents are Austro-Hungarian, his parents & himself are Italian all from the same town. Why? Border changes from WWI. He considered himself Italian & spoke German & Italian. He was ridiculed by the Southern Italian & German background kids at school. I helped him assimilate better being from a weird background myself. In the end he used to laugh off everything that was thrown at him. Back in my school days in French classes, my French teachers kept giving me A's all the time. I spoke better French than what they did all thanks to my grandmother. I never took French for my HSC as I was concentrating on other subjects. My grandparents next door neighbours were the most interesting people I have ever met & they led a hard life. He was Scottish & grew up on the back streets of Glasgow. He joined the Police force & was set to Shanghai where he met his future wife who was a daughter of a high ranking Tsarist Russian army officer. Her family escaped the bolshevik takeover & went to Shanghai. She worked in the casinos there. She taught me how to play cards. Her French was the most beautiful French I've ever heard as she also spoke her native Russian, German & English. She also Spoke Shanghainese which is a local dialect in Shanghai. We spoke in a mixture of English, French, Russian & Shanghainese when we played cards to remind her of her old days before the Japanese marched in. Both were sent to concentration camps & she was forced as a comfort girl to Japanese troops. The stories they told me would make a hardened person cry. After her abuse she could not have any children but she considered me as her child. I understand Russian, can't read it & I'm not fluent but enough to get along. Same with Shanghainese. When we started getting Chinese people moving into our area a few spoke Shanghainese. I never spoke it to them but you can hear the conversations going on. Finding out that a fair few Chinese were racist against Australians & other nationalities is something you really shake your head about. I was in a shop run by people who spoke Shanghainese & the racist comments made about me were hurtful. I responded back in my best schoolboy Shanghainese which absolutely shocked them.

What do I think is wrong with the world?....... quite a lot! Everyone who has commented is right about PC & treating kids like cotton wool. Idiotic human beings dragging us down to a level that makes us skeptic & neurotic. We just need to use common sense but unfortunately these days, it's a rather lacking commodity.

We need to be enlightened & lighten up.

As some of you have mentioned, people are just way to sensitive nowadays.

Wow! Loved reading this thread. Christ on a cracker....If I had not known I would have thought you were talking about the states. It appears you have to deal with the same load of crap we deal with here on daily basis. Where did it start? When will people be like "Enough is Enough"

Seems to be everyone is offended by everything!!! I don't even know where to begin with what is wrong with the world...but it may have been the death of the dinosaurs which eventually gave rise to, well, us.

I just come back from an extended stay in Bali. On the roads thier chaos works. We hired motorbikes and had no problem adjusting to thier roads even driving on the footpath seems to be ok. Have some beer, go drive the bike again no problems. Come back this morning to sunny Melbourne and it's just so sanitised again. So many rules. With excess rules people lose the ability to think.

In Bali u use a fair bit of your senses and ability so you feel free. Nobody even gets upset (unless u don't buy thier t shirts). Try doing a u turn into oncoming traffic here they will just crash into you or blast you with the horn. Do it there and you just get let in and everyone moves forward.

I think here well in Victoria we are whipped and sanitised to the point of being brain dead. Look at our politicians. If there was a box for "none of the above" that would win hands down.

I think for all our wealth we get it so wrong it's not funny.
