You can have any size wheel, the only thing that will give you issues in offset and spring height, if your car is lowered then hsv/holden 20s will definitely have no issues, you get some 19s that have a low offset and you can have issues.
If your offset is 42p or above your all good and can lower your car till around ssl height and have no issuses.

Thanks for your reply. The car is lowered with pedders low springs all round , these springs bring it down app 25/30 m. Unsure of offset, the ute is being used for work and does pull a trailer ,18s look ok , thought 19 would fill guard in a little more ,
I was looking at some second hand 19s on gumtree , didnt consider 20s thought they would restrict the ute , ute needs to go up steep driveways and gutters.
Whats your thoughts stay with 18 , or go 19 or 20 ,
Cheers Hank

I think 20s are the best look, but a set of vf redline wheels in black look great, plus there staggered so you get the wide rears, probabley find a set of vf1 or the vf2 redlines with half decent tyres for 1200, plus youll have no issues with clearence

So the vf 1 or 2 / 20 will fit straight on without any problems and wont be a problem with a trailer and gutters.

Yer they will fit no worries, the redline wheels i was talking about are 19s, the fronts are 8.5 wide and the rears are 9 or 9.5? So plenty of grip!

I picked these Redline wheels up for 1300 off gumtree, only have 5000k's on them. I went from 18's to 19's, think it looks much better with the slightly bigger wheels filling out the guards nicely.
