That sounds like the vehicle was killing the batteries? If the battery in the shed had stayed in the vehicle, it too may have died early?
The one in the shed was in there for two years no issues. The two Century's didn't last 12 months. The Exide lasted two years at the most. Century and Exide batteries have a pretty bad rep.

Supercharge. I've read they are not as good as they once were. The SC in the old ute was also great.

I got 5 years on my last Century battery....Bought it 2/7/2017, replaced 1/7/2022....

Will admit with it, this battery was a replacement 3 months prior to the 2017 date as the other one failed under warranty.....Drove in, got it tested and replaced on the spot.

Battery does live in the boot too..

Sorry can't help with a place to buy Delco in your neck of the woods

Yeah I bought three batteries from Peter & Rick's in Adelaide. The price was awesome the quality just wasn't there. I'm hearing the same about SC some people are getting well past the warranty out of them others are being returned under warranty. Delco are supposed to be the best.

I really just want to feel like I'm getting a good deal, like I do with most car parts.

If I get time tomorrow I will call R & J and see if they have any other decent brand batteries that are closer to $200.

R&J that I’ve dealt with here have been happy to price match. Just find the cheapest price online (including freight of course) and they’ll match it.

Side note - I’ve also had a good run with SSB batteries.

Have you tried Google?
Yep, only place that seems to sell Delco is R & J. We only have R & J, Supercharge and Marshall that specialise in batteries.
