How else could he afford to drink in the pub, if not working?
He would have had a mates rates
arrangement with the publican.
Probably would have picked up the odd job while he was in there
as well. The point l was trying to make was as in a previous post.
If Shonky isn't having a laugh and l'm not sure that these threads aren't a ps/take. A name change might be in order.

You have to specialise son find something your good at and do it. The last bloke that said that to me went on to explian in my case its standing there looking ugly don't talk then they'll know your stupid.
What do they do at these mens sheds Ive donated money to them in the pub before.
Next time you go there find the welder and a piece of scrap metal and get some one to show you how to run a weld then run a heap of welds on the scrap plate

Mate a bloke l used to work with had a sign on a cabinet beside his machine that read
Tis better to remain silent and be thought an idiot than open ones mouth and remove all doubt.
He was a very hard man to get a word out of.

Not this guy again.

If you want to change jobs then change jobs, the only person that can make that happen is you. We can't change your life for you, only you can.

You do remember posting this exact same thread like a month ago don't you?

Pick the ball up and run with it....lol You cant spend your life wondering about what else you could do. Make some decisions and do it. Be confident . Any temping agencies in your area, they are a good way of getting the feel for other jobs... Know this before you do anything.... its harder to get a job if you havent got a job.... Make the plan and see it thru...
