Dad's VY SS

This car was (and still is) the love of my life.
We baught it BRAND SPANKING new (I LOVED the stares )
About 2 months after we baught it, Up went the L plates
This is the first car I ever drove, the car I learnt in... The car of my dreams.
I Love this thing. Shame my dad doesnt take as much care of it as I used to

He wanted to get a BMW 318i. Don't get me wrong, I love beamers, just not so much the 318i, and not when its that over an SS Plus I liked the idea of telling all my friends that as soon as I turned 16 I'd be driving it

And minux, I was driving it back from getting the window fixed (my dad isn't able to drive at the moment ) And there were 3 police cars outside the homeless shelter place (which is across the road from the holden dealer) and they asked me to pull over, checked out the car, asked if it was mine and why I was driving a V8, I explained and they let me off

God, after all this time (over 8 months), I'd forgotten what it felt like to drive a V8. The power steering is so much tighter too! I love it. It feels like its glued to the road... And the sound...

With these new restrictions I wouldnt be suprised if I lost my licence driving it, but as bravotwozero said, its gonna be 3 points and $322 in a couple months

hahaha yea , does that count the 5L too ? I only got 2 points left so if I do get that Id lose My license haha , who knows when Id get it back too

I have no idea with these new law, I havent even bothered to look into them even though they effect me ahh well

5 years i lost 3 points running a red light cam (even though it was yellow) back in 2003 first week i got my licence still havent got them back

He wanted to get houthouse green, But when we went to have a look at it in the showroom they only had one, and it was this one...

And I always wanted black so I convinced him to get it, haha.

I like hothouse green, but black has to be my favorite (especially when its all clean and shiney)

See this is why I went the plain black interior with my VY. I think the coloured inserts look absolutely hideous! I was keen on the Hothouse green as well but the interior made me want to puke!! Weren't so bad on the series II though.

The SS is no more!

Well... It lives on.. Just not out the front of our place anymore.

It's been traded in for a 2007 Subaru Liberty GT which arrives in approx two weeks.

I was going to buy it off my old man, but the trade in price was a fair bit above what I had to spend on it, so I had to let it go

Anyway, I'm really excited about the new car, I got a thread in the my ride section (I know its not a Holden, but hey, its hot) and will have pics up as soon as it arrives!

I'll be sad to let the VY go (even though its my old mans), it was the car I learnt in... Im gonna miss it!
