Sorry guys I realise it has probably been done a million times but I'm so frigging confused with mis information etc
I'm after any definitive signs of a timing chain on its way out
I have only picked up a high k well maintained vz berlina and out of the box there is a hesitation at around 90 ks it's almost like a torque converter issue, but it doesn't happen when it's loaded up
Now I have a miss intermittent under load and my mechanic is leaning towards it all being caused by bad plugs and coils..the car hasn't thrown up any codes
My mechanic seems to think vz weren't as bad as Ve timing change wise
I now have a lad I know tell me he had a ve that had similar issues and it was the chain
Apparently he seems to think a sign of a chain issue is low vacuum as measured of a hose at the rear of the motor
So any tips advice etc would be great fellas
Cheers
