Vz sv6 2005 transmission problems

Transmission problems it takes off in high gear and when you put your foot down it tries to stall and it slips. Even with putting it in reverse it will not move but engine tries to stall. Trans cooler was blocked but still did not fix problem. I have removed sump changed oil and filter and cleaned out valve body. Has anyone else had these problems.

You could try changing the TCC Solenoid, as the symptoms you describe are similar to others. Although having had a blocked trans cooler can't have been good for the trans.

I'm looking at changing the TCC Solenoid next service.
From what I read, you need to drop the valve body about 6mm to get the TCC solenoid out. The valve body has reverse Torx bolts holding it in.

Did you remove the valve body when you cleaned it?

Other than that, I'd be off to a specialist.

How long since it was serviced and the oil and filter changed ? Suggest you book into a reputable Auto Transmission Specialist and get them to (a) service it and (b) check for any faults. Good luck.
