who are the worst drivers?

the worst driver on our roads is the learner outside my uni who was having an argument with the guy in a e series hsv in the next lane about a 'near miss' caused by the learner just up the road (from what i gathered listening in on the yelling)...

the learner driver then went to take off, hitting the car infront of them. needless to say... the guy in the hsv was very amused, and made this very clear to the learner driver.

it made my day and thats my story.

Asians, Indians, P platers who think their 3.8 Buick / Ecotec is a rocketship because it has a 2.5" catback on it.

Senior citizens i never really have trouble with, you come across the odd mega slow elderly driver, but you see more young ****wits in Holdens / Fords / Imports etc driving like twits, than you see slow elderly citizens, so i won't slag them off. And as funny as it sounds, i actually find the majority of young Asian males probably between the ages of say 20 and maybe 28 or so, to be some of the most normal drivers. They always sit on the speed limit, they rarely tailgate (well i haven't had one tailgate me) and so on. It's weird. It's mainly the older Asian males and females up above 40 years old that cut you off and then are too scared to look in the rear view or never give you the sorry wave.

Worst i saw, and only ever saw it once, was an Asian L plater in one of those old shitbox square Volvo's. I don't even wanna think about the line of traffic behind her or how many lanes she wanted to drift into. Everyone was too scared to go around her in the right lane.

Yesterday i saw a Mazda 3 with 8 young Indians crammed into it. ****ing idiots. I wish you could use your mobile whilst driving, i would have called the cops and followed them. I hoped they smashed into a lightpole without hurting any innocent people.

I'll probably get flamed for this but this is just based on my experience but the most dangerous drivers i have come across are truck drivers. I stay the **** away from them on the road where possible and never ever cut one off. I'd never do anything in front of them that would piss them off coz they retaliate with reckless stupid behaviour. I'm not saying they are the worst drivers but they quite often partake in very dangerous driving. Its safest to stay well away from them on the road. I won't even sit beside one on a multi-lane road. Almost being wiped out on a highway while i was 7 months pregnant with my 1yr old son in the back scared me off them for life. And my ex was driving but both of us are extremely safe drivers because we had kids.

Then there are old people. No-one should be driving at 20kms under the speed limit. It's dangerous. And due to old age and having poor vision they do some very dangerous things on the road. If your nose is touching the steering wheel then you shouldn't be driving. I'm surve their reflexes wouldn't be the greatest either.

Middle eastern young males, in particular p platers. Oh my God they have some fully hektik driving bro. But it is pretty funny when there is 5 big beefy habibs in a tiny little hatchback trying to drag you at the lights lol. They just act like they own the road sometimes.

I haven't really had too much issues with Asian drivers although there are some bad ones. but FWIW the guy i'm seeing is Korean and he makes me drive at night coz he says his Asian eyes means he doesn't see too well at night when driving. something about depth perception. I dunno. I'm not Asian so i can neither agree or disagree with him. I had another Korean boyfriend a few years ago. Was a great driver. Never had a crash. Never did anything stupid in the car. His sister however. Every few months their parents car was being repaired from her bad driving.

I have to agree with you. My cuz drives trucks and yeah I would not get in it if he paid me lol. But thats for him not all truck drivers.

I am also one for old people. I hate them on the road. Especialy the ones that sit 20 to 30K's below the speed limit and use cruise control through town. My grandfather is a prime example of this. If you ever go to Yarrawonga please be very careful of a white corola with a tissue box and a sun hat on the back shelf lol.

Back on topic, surely this thread proves that pretty much all demographics have their share of shithouse drivers? To be quite honest, the only ones that has any excuse are the P-platers (inexperienced) and the octogenarians (senile). The rest of us need to pick up our game eh?

Old people and asians FTW! and tourist can be dangerous and annoying. Living in the hunter valley there are alot of them, have had a couple of them doing 50km/h in an 80 zone "sight seeing" (out comes the learner road rage)! lol
