i reckon that old cars are a joke with big chromies on them, and would rather some convo-pro's or some other classic wheels.

what does everyone reckon?

Looking
I wholeheartedly concur.

But then I think massive rims kill the look of any car, they're just plain ugly... Cars are supposed to have tyres, not just wheels :p

I agree 100% The trouble is trying to find tyres to suit the old wide 14 and 15 inch rims.

Absolutely....No older car should have any bigger than 15" wheels. They also shouldn't have any smaller than 15" wheels. Bigs & littles FTW.

I have no problems getting 255/60/15's for my cars, we also had no problems getting 295/50/15's. There are still plenty of companies making old school 15" tyres.

I was after some 235 or 245/60/15s for the rear can you still get them?

Yep, anything bigger than about a 17" is going to destroy the look of most cars IMO. Anything with paint smears for tires is just ridiculous!

Yeh, you can still get 245's, they are a bit scarse though because most people use the 255 because its the perfect size for a wide range of old cars. I think you can only buy a 245 in a Yokohama and mabye a BF Goodrich.

Dont agee sorry, 14's and 15's look so small on commodores and other big cars, although i think 20's are a bit big as it does not leave alot of room for the tyre. I have 17 inch chromies on my vr and they look great, but everyone has their own opinion, cheers Bob.
