Looks like a bit of fun to mess with, So you're pretty much building a Ford bodied Altered? What are you doing with the front struts, what are you planning to use.

Yeah, sort of, if you call a fibreglass stockcar body that is loosely based on a pommy ford, then it is.
there will be no front struts now, I have gone the traditional solid front end altered path.

Little bit of an update, I have slightly redesigned my steering box mount, as it had bad flex in it, so I added an extra brace...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I also started butchering a spare intake I had, so it can take 2 throttle bodies, one for each turbo.

Sure I trust them, or I wouldn't do them. I first used a MIG about 20 years ago, and have been doing it off and on since, so I think I have had enough practise now. Havent had one fail ....yet.

I just use a cheap nasty chinese pipe bender, works okay on heavy wall tube. No good for light stuff though, it goes from being a pipe bender to a pipe squasher!!

yeah i bought one once, tried it on a coupe of bits of 2.5 inch, squished it. filled it with sand, squished it, heated up one side, squished it... then thought "maybe it just big stuff", so i put the smallest clamps in, got a piece of fuel hose... squished it.

then i gave it to a mate.
