No kidding, I over took someone at 100kph in 5th in the rain and TC kicked in. Wasn't even a stab at the pedal, just a squeeze and it let go.

My Falken 453's are good in the wet, but not great in the dry. It is pretty easy to lose traction.

I'll be searching for something better next time around.

I wanted to get Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 2's but they do not come in 19" 245 40

The 452's loose a lot of traction after they're around 60% worn but before that ive found them to be good in the wet and dry.
I put some kumhos on the wifes merc and they seem reasonable but its 4wd...


Whats the best tyre for dry traction? toyo r888's?

I've got Pirelli P-Zeros on my ute, great in the wet and the dry. Got them for $245 ea at Jax in Bayswater.

Do you mean PZero Nero or just straight PZero?

I am on my 2nd set of Nero's and love them. Got them for similar price to you as well.

But I understand the straight PZero's which are more expensive are a step above. They came out clearly on top in this year's Motor Mag tyre comparison.

Yes! But they don't stock ku31 in 255/40-19, all they have is Conti's for $375ea. So 452s for $250 methinks.
