As I said, im more about the stance of the car rather than it being on rails.

Then why go with coil overs at all?

Have you spoken to a suspension expert yet?

Because coil overs offer an easy way to get the car to an adjustable height so that they sit nice with the wheels but at the same time can be raised if need be.

Whereas springs will require me to get them reset or just settle for the industry standard Ultra Low preset height - which is a measly 50mm. In a VE that is nothing.

If there was a shock spring combo that brought the car down to a height that made the car sit low enough that the wheels start to fill up the enormous gap, then I would be interested to hear about it.

XYZ offer custom spring rates, so that is an option, I havent looked into or asked how much they would be however.

So you're primarily after looks. Cool. :)

Pretty sure that was covered off in my post.

But yes, long and short of it is, I am after a certain look.

Not quite this unpractical, but similar.

But that low is detectable. I.e. it's illegal.

 confused

Edit: Just saw your text under the pic. :D So you going for that, but legal?

Those wheels aren't small. It's deceptive because of the design. They're 20s. Personally, anything above 20 inches on the VE is too big.

Nice! And for the record, I love the look of that silver wagon. It's just, as you said, impractical. And illegal.

Have you thought about air bags? Or is the cost simply prohibitive?
