Hi,
I know there are a lot of posts on this subject but unfortunately I can’t find the advice I’m after. I’m hoping one of you may know from experience.
I have a VF SS S2 redline. I have purchased R8 340 headers and cats that I intend on fitting onto the car along with an R8 or GTS center section.
The headers / cats I have measure the correct 2.5 so I can confirm that they are 340. My dilemma is they only have the o2 sensor Bungs in the headers themselves and not the cats.
I believe My car will currently have sensors in the headers and cat pipe ( not cat back ).
My question is, what’s the best way around the issue of not tripping the sensor lights error? Have the o2 sensors drilled into the mid section and extend the current o2 sensor wires so they can reach and connect? Will changing the location so the front and rear sensor are further apart cause an issue? Or some how have the bungs drilled into the cat pipe so it aligns with the current set up.
Has anyone been in this situation and had a successful resolution?
Your help will be much appreciated.
