In recent times we've had Infiniti, now Holden leave the Australian market.
With an overcrowded, cutthroat marketplace, rapidly falling sales and a poor economic outlook, I'm tipping Holden won't be the last to exit.
So what other brands could be on the brink?

Can't see Subaru leaving anytime soon

Maybe Haval, LDV and Great Wall ? but that's about it and they're no great loss in my opinion.

So how do Subaru do it if Holden are still selling more than them ? I will say that that list is a bit out of date now as it's 2018~2019 and we're now 2020 and things have changed a bit.

Many of those lower entries of that list are expensive Euro cars that will always be sold in lower quantities but simply hold the prestige badge of honour. Must admit I'm quite surprised to see Benz up that high on the list, but then they do sell heaps in Melbourne and Sydney compared to Adelaide where they sell bugger all and probably SA has the highest Haval sales in the country.

You're predicting they will go ? I'm predicting that they will increase their sales.
They are getting their s*** together, tomorrow's buyers will look at their prices and standard features, forget place of origin and splash cash.
Who said Jap cars won't sell in Straya in the '70s ? Who said the same about Hyundais and Kias in the 90's ?
Now, we are saying the same about Chinese cars.
I would not be surprised when Rory comes off the GM dealer building, Great Wally will replace him.

You're probably right to be honest. I just can't get my head around how many can afford to buy a brand new Toyota Girlie Truck at over $50K and still survive when we all seem to be so price conscious nowadays and that's where the Chinese are just shitting it in.

Eventually China will be a Superpower while we become a Third World country. I'm seeing it already.
