Hey everyone,

I have an issue, i took my VF SV6 to have the front left globe replaced at a AHG dealership which toyota wangara was the closest. They replaced the globe while i waited i started my vehicle and on the dash screen it started showing service vehicle soon and the engine light has stayed on. I have rang them and they said bring it back they will fix it but its just a coincidence and i will be liable to pay for it. CAN REPLACING A GLOBE CAUSE THIS GUYS OR IS IT A COINCIDENCE.

Hard to tell but changing the globe is VERY unlikely to cause this.

A couple of questions.

1. Are you running standard globes (i.e. halogen), or an after-market upgrade such as HIDs (high intensity discharge)?
2. Have you checked the level of your coolant?

Coolant is at the correct level and the globes are the standard globes

Pop the negative battery lead off for 10 mins to reset the can and see if it fixes it.

Can you take photo of the error/message...

Are you sure it's not just a service reminder ?

A Service Vehicle Soon message coming up within the Drive Information Centre (DIC) screen of your VF means the vehicle is due for it’s scheduled service based on a simple 15,000 kilometre count down... As such the message is just a reminder and is reset after the service is done.

Check Engine Light being on is due to some Diagnostic Trouble Code being logged so something is wrong... I don’t think globe faults cause CEL to be on.

Seems like time for a service in any case ;)

A warning takes over the entire centre screen if there is somthing wrong with a globe.
