Are they? Last time I looked their images they used were exactly the same.
It's hard to see what software is loaded by looking at a box :p
It may be that the Image Road units have better s/w and/or are better suppored.

But all the web sites i've seen for such products are poorly structured for real detail.
And AIUI these boxes are build off android/linux so they should be open source... but do any of these sellers provide links to their customised software? share their mods?

They all seem like a half baked product with a high premium atrtached... So no thanks.

Pity the VF's are now orphans, unloved by the market and owners left to fend for themselve...

The reason that most of the hardware looks the same is because in most cases the hardware all comes from the same chinese factory/supplier and the importer like kayhan just customises the ui and has logos printed on the box etc.

Essentially they are the same thing with different tweaks and visual changes but the hardware quality is the same.

You should check again you are confusing something. They are different. Import road one uses the IU10S and netplay which are quality units. The kayhan/walkinshaw seem to use one box of their own spec.

Any feedback or comments on their units?
It works! Haha. Does its job well.
No issues with it at all. Have had it for almost a year.
Feel free to ask anything.

I noticed that some kits only ‘mirror’ the phone screen and don’t implement the touchscreen inputs from the car’s screen. Does their kit do the full CapPlay functionality including the touchscreen?

Also, does it use the inbuilt microphone for phone calls (or does it need an extra microphone)?

Depends how you run it. You can have the phone answer calls through mylink or through the system. If mylink, inbuilt mic. If through their system, then obviously aftermarket mic. In any case, I wired the mic right next to the factory one.

This one does not mirror the screen. It enables android auto/apple carplay. The mylink screen is touchscreen, so yes you can touch the mylink screen to interface with the phone.
Personally I haven't used carplay, being an android user.
