yep - cable ties will work. i had mine running on cable ties for a while. but best to take it to your local mechanic who will have the right tools for the job, as any big knock from speed bump or pot hole could potentially knock off the cable ties if not done correctly. fuel everywhere... not fun.

I tried to remove the fuel filter by hand and just couldn't.. I wrestled with it a bit, but didn't want to apply too much pressure..

I just forgot about it..

Anyone know how much the tool is?

well after tryin to do it myself
its im possible to remove the fuel filter with pliers or vice grips
you simply cant push down on 4 things at once no matter how hard you try
i ended up having to buy a fuel pipe from holden at $16.50 becuase those little **** plugs are a peice of the fuel pipe and not the filter if that makes any sense
anways i ened up using one of the plastic clips n i got the old one back on.
i might take it some where to get the fuel filter replaced
like a holden dealer
so when they **** it up they can fix it! :bang:

The fuel lines are high pressure line and not just normal fuel hose it uses hight pressure hose thats why they have those clips on them.
There is a tool you can buy at autobarn, autopro and shops like that they cost $20. Not sure how much from holden

hey dood have a ****ing look at the fuel lines
a ring clamp would have heaps better HOLD than their peices of **** plastic
yes it is high pressure
but its scary because of the shitty way that the filter is held in. its very flimsy.

I bought the tool from Burson for $20.

Worked a treat. You could do it without the tool but you need to know the how the clip works or you will break it.

Changed mine the other day.. I have a VX though some im not sure if it has the same clips as a VT. I used a pair of pliers to push down the clips while pushing the clip into the filter and then you'll feel it unclip, then pull it out it should pop out along with a bit of fuel.. Be sure to depressurize the fuel system.
