I went on Mal Woods advice, you don't get a reputation as the best gearbox builder in Australia if you don't know what your talking about. And as i thought, the box is perfect, and the 2-3 shift can be done even if your braindead!

I'll be honest and say i've never heard of the one you're using, where did you get it from?

can i ask why people think the ripshift is good (or even the billet)
having never had the pleasure of using such shifters, how do they differ over the stock product?
do they just allow for quicker (shorter) shifts or is there more to it?

Not sure if it helps you or not, but I've got a harrop shifter in my Statesman and I reckon its great. I was debating buying a ripshifter (which would probably be faster 2-3 shift), but the harrop has suprised me. Cheap enough too!

A shorter and pretty smooth shift, with the ripshift anyway.

Not true. I know the ripshift is good because my brothers ss has one and it is a great shifter. I've just heard good things about billet so i'm leaning that way atm, am pricing one on monday so we'll see how it goes.

I think they meant a piece of poo compared too their billet. Get the billet one :thumbsup:
