Hey Doctor Bob, I was wondering what the secondary pin on a VR v6 DFI module does?, I tested the power with the iginition on and only one pin for each coil has power.

Hi there, i just bought a vz adventra cx6 and seems i have the bcm problem, the forums say you can fix it, can you advise if you still do this, as i have only just bought the car and dont want to spend another $500 getting a new one.

Hi Dr bob, I've been told you might be able to help me with a small problem I've got, I have a 1997 VT exec 5L 5speed, and the factory tacho is inaccurate, it overestimates by a fair bit, by a few hundred RPM at idle and by 2-3k at the top of the revs, I believe a previous owner has put a V6 dash cluster in as a quick fix to shut up the next owner who wanted a working fuel gauge. I'm told it can be reprogrammed with a tech 2, or i can replace it with another cluster, if i choose to use another cluster, which ones are compatible? can I use a 3 window calais one? or a VX V8 one?

Hi Doctor Bob was wandering if you could help me ,I have a holden Calais 94 V6 and when I lock it its fine but for some reason the alarm /horn goes off when it gets cooler into the night !!
the car is locked away and sometimes I am there when it happens.
I have checked the fuses also the hinges latches to see if they are sticking .any Ideas im not locking it at the moment

Hey Doctor Bob, came across your profile while browsing and by the feed back you get I take it you're pretty handy with memcal's. I have an automatic, series II, VS, ecotec with 1:98.1 rockers, 69mm Throttle body and K&N panel filter. If you could get back to me with an estimated power increase and cost of one of your chips for my car, it would be greatly appreciated.

PS: Do you anything about Mace Engineering's memcal's? Are they rubbish? Or worth installing?

Hi doc, im just wonderin if you kno where i could come across a mod chip for my VS v6 ecotec? i had before hand stage 2 shift and the chip was modify'de but since i took it 2 a guy that i know 2 swap my gearbox hes changed the chip 2 stock and it runs like a complete slug, and im finding poor excelleration on startup, do you know where i could find chips or if anyone could modify the one i have installed currently? Im in the eastern suburbs area also if you could shed some light on my topic it would be great.

We recently got a chip (not a good one) and we got an auto elec/mechanic to put it in, however they have told us that the ship is no good and the car is back firing. is this really coursed by the chip, and can something be done to fix it, or do we need to get a new (better) chip.

Also do you sell chips?
