Hey guys, just thought I would share my SS over in NewZealand, had it for just over a month. Its my first ever v8 and im loving it (Had a VS v6 ute before)

Its a 2005 VZ SS ute
Auto
260,000ks on the clock which doesnt mean ****, the ls1 is smooth as ever and goes hard.
Stock as a rock with the hardlid that got put on from new, guy I brought it off did alot of motorway driving hense the high ks, always been serviced by Holden so mechinical history is good

Few small dents around the thing, front end has a few stone chips over it, small spot of clearcoat peeling from the guard, doesnt bother me cause its not a show car and its pretty good considering I didnt pay alot for it.

Plan is to keep it and pour my funds into it, love driving it bit too quiet for me though so will have to sort that out.

Pics of the day I got it:

Given it an oil change:

New tread, 235/45/17 Kumho tyres:

And brought a Holden towball cap lol

Also got these last week, Di Fillippo 4 into 1 headers, 1 7/8 primarys, 3inch outlet.

If someone could help me out on what to do with the rest of the exhaust system that would be cool, I know I should go 2.5inch with a stock ls1 but I want to go 3inch and future proof it for a cam, otr, tune ect later on.
There are alot of pre made systems out there but im sort of thinking a bit different, twin 3inch with Flowmasters dummped at the diff. Anyone done anything like that before? Cant seem to find a video of flowmasters on a Commodore, but alot of people with their Ls1 Camaros and Firebirds do it in the states.
Any tips/pointers are more than welcome.

Thanks.

Alot harder than just putting a catback exhaust on lol, pictures make it look easy. Theres abit to undo to get the subframe out, I still have to get bushes pressed in, put the rear back together then do the front. Should be worth it though
