I take melatonin plus panadol an hour before I go to bed. In that last hour I read a car magazine, I've got about a hundred. The important thing is to wind down. However the melatonin seems to make me wee more so except for last night I have a broken sleep.

The sleep specialist said it was important to not watch tv or have the computer on during that last hour.

I also do a minimum of 45 minutes exercise. It is only 45 minutes when I can't walk because it rains. Usually about 2 hours that includes 30 minutes on the rowing machine, 15 minutes on the vibration plate and the rest walking.

I don't drink much alcohol though that doesn't seem to make any diference to my sleep.
15 minutes on the vibration plate you say?

tea bag tag pulled itself into the cup with the boiling water. why does life hate me right now?

I have started coughing and it hurts to breathe. winter is coming, and so is rhino apparently. I had rhino last 2 winters and 2022 nearly put me in hospital. This is what I get for going to where people are.

I am looking out the study window, and it looks like a lovely day. I am wrapped in layers staring at spreadsheets trying not to cough because it makes my shoulder hurt.

**** I feel old.

No concilation but I am just about over it and now my wife has it. Perhaps you need to pass it on to someone else. Cuddle up to beard. We both had our flu and covid jabs about a month ago. Well we haven't got covid.

Got an email yesterday morning stating may parcel was onboard with the local courier driver and I would receive it today, it is now almost 6PM the day following and I still don't have my parcel. How hard can it be?

Yep same **** here in Aus.
Same thing happened to us just last week.
Only in our case the parcel was on the delivery van but next day it was going to be delivered the next day.
WTF ????

You must have Australia Post staff over there, or do you have the retrained kiwis who trained here with Australia Post ??
then went back home to train more delivery people in how to farkitup ??

parcel delivery is like the old windows file transfer. Is it 2 days or a week? or 4 days, nope 2 weeks, nah 8 days.

the amount of updates some of my parcels get is crazy.

It is amazing, the parcel was dispatched May 9th from the US (so really the 10th here), arrived here in Auckland cleared customs on Sunday but those last few Km from the Airport to my house seem to be the most difficult! I could have walked to the airport, collected it and walked home and still had time to spare.
