well everyone seems to be split on wether removing the bellmouth makes much of a difference . and why wouldn't even marginally better airflow do the engine any better. And anyone will tell you vn_v6 that there is only mms sometimes thousanths between a good port and polish job...

At the front of the fuel tank is an inspection panel round, and about 100mm in diameter also make sure you remove the fuel gauge wire which is in the same location . try to do it on an empty tank.

The radiator is a big clue as you can only fill a series 1 vn from the overflow. The series two has the cap on the radiator itself.
