Simple fix for the seat belt warning chimes. Disconnect the plug under the driver's seat (has a single wire from memory). The symbol on the dash still flashes but no annoying chimes.

Nope the spare cluster chimes away with the handbrake warning and mine is silent. (chimes when I leave the lights on so the chime works). Both clusters have the same parts in them and the same PCB.

Yes I do mean the indicators, at first I thought it was just a matter of putting in a quieter indicated unit, but soon found out different. The speaker is used by start up chimes, seatbelt warning chimes and indicators/hazard lights and I guess any other audible warning the car has.

Did you just press the setup button or hold it? Usually you hold it and press a number until it chimes.

Did you have push button start on the SV6?

It comes from a small speaker type thing in the dash I think. Do you still hear the startup chimes and other beeps?

Thanks Brett, got the PIM replaced and relinked like you said and all good now. No more lights and chimes on the dash.
