hi all i am thinking of upgrading my v6 calais to a v8 calais... looking online there are a couple with a few kms on it. these are all S1 vehicles there is one with 150,000 odd kms. is that reasonable?

nope. because the calais never came out with a manual you would need to do some trickery with the onboard computers and possibly get one out of a sv6/ss. it would cost way too much for the outcome

walkinshaw peformance can squeeze 450 ish from thier complete package... eg cam, supercharger, cai, headers and a full 3 inch

im from perth bud, go Actives. they would be the only place in perth that i would trust to do a TT kit. marks workshop is also great just its in northam so its a little inconvenient.

are they not chrome underneath? or was that holden just plating them. if it is i would just take it back to chrome and polish them

thats what i mean if you go aftermarket and get a 3m vinyl decal instead of going to holden you can get what ever colour you want and whatever size.

get white or silver? i know its going to be a wrap job so even a brushed stainless look will look mint.

di fillipo, walkinshaw, manta they are all good. just personal preference. i am looking to upgrade to this SSV redline ute. its fitted with a manta exhaust. which is great but i am a pretty big fan of WP/racing

l98 mate. it is the VE 6.0( excludes AFM) the L76 is the 6.0 but with the AFM disabled. pretty much the same.

i was going to ask the same question. :clapping: my mate says that you would only really need a 2.5 inch system of your going to keep the mods light eg. exhaust, cai anything up to a cam and then you get the 3 inch system. but would the 3 inch sound better? or how about a hybrid of a 2.5 inch...

too right mate. i understand that its all part of the experience but the way i see it for another 10 g plus more fuel, maintenance, insurance and other costs i dont really see the need to spend any more. and as always being young you strive to own a SS holden.
