Yep, those bolts are a pain sometimes. I haven't done it on them but I have removed a rounded bolt by tapping a smaller size socket on with a hammer. Find a socket that's the tiniest bit smaller a knock it on, don't use a expensive socket..lol.. and you will need a new bolt when you get it out...

VN and VP are interchangable, VR and VS are interchangable. VN and VR,VS aren't, well, not unless you change the whole dash, then you can use the VR/VS door cards and vents.

No you can't. You will need an adaptor for the manual flywheel to bolt to the auto engines crank. Or a manual engine, that's what I did and it was easy as. Old auto and engine out, manual engine and box in, pedal box, ECU and the short piece of loom that plugs in under the console (near ashtray)...

Gday Marz, I haven't ever purchased car parts through eBay so I have no experience there. I get all my parts from Coventrys..good range, decent price and you get exactly what you ask for...not to mention they carry genuine Holden parts too.

Yep...running rough / missing can only be spark or fuel. Did you change the memcal / ecu when you put the new motor in ?..Not sure if this will make a difference. As the other guys said..check all the sensors..IAC, TPS, Knock sensor ? Goodluck

I have done this conversion in my Series 1. There is a difference between series 1 auto and manual....apparently the crank shafts aren't the same in the way the flywheel bolts up. I avoided this by buying a engine, box, tailshaft (wasn't sure if it was different, got it just in case) pedal box...
