It could have popped a seal in the compressor however the system only holds about 550 grams of R134a so it could not hiss longer than about 15 / 25 mins before it would be empty. Get it looked at immediately as once its empty it can get moisture inside the system and long term that is VERY bad...

$350 gets you a 60mm single piston front caliper, 345x30mm ventilated front disc, low metallic pads plus upgraded master cylinder. (Std fitment on V8's is Twin 42mm piston caliper, 321x30mm ventilated disc and non asbestos organic pads). The rears are the same.

Not sure if they are the same pads as the standard ones , the calipers are definatly different so I assume the pads are different ?

Hi All, Got my SSV with the optional police brake upgrade but no aftermarket pad manufacture lists or knows what pads fit these brakes. Has anybody changed their pads yet with aftermarket ones ? , love to get some QFM ones but without pulling the old pads out and either measuring / tracing them...

Mylink Firmware Update Well here is the GM bulletin on Mylink changes as per the July 16 revision. Most of the changes relate to startup and screen issues. My dealer says this is the latest update from GM as of November Mark

I might be wrong however I would doubt that it has a conventional tacho wire as a older car would. You will probably find that the rpm signal is on the can bus and you will need a can bus adaptor to get it as a conventional analogue signal.

My 2016 SSV has HUD written on the screen along with the manufactures info so I assume it is a special screen. I made sure I took windscreen cover with my insurance just in case it costs lots !

I have test driven a Manual SS demo ute and taken delivery of a Manual SSV sedan and never once stalled it or the demo. Just depends on your skill level with a clutch and rev / accelerator co-ordination, and the info that I have says the R8 has exactly the same transmission.
