Yeah it's odd.
When I switch the car on, phone automatically connects to mylink via Bluetooth and the cc/aa via wifi. So when I use voice commands, it activates but it's as if there is no mic there to hear my voice. I thought I needed to use the oe mic for the factory microphone. I'll try...
Here is my experience with the cc/aa unit for my series 2 ssv.
- Pretty easy to install as per the instructions.
- I use the mylink bluetooth to run the audio whilst using the cc/aa via wifi for visual.
- being it's a series 2, i can't use the usb which is annoying as I thought I could based on...
Only advise i can give is from a friend who went to GM for an intake and tune. He was happy with the install and tune but was not happy to find out they lock the tune (which he was not aware of). He had some issues with his car (not related to GM motorsport) and when the other place tried to...
Like a youtube clip? Ill try to get a quick vid to let you hear it on start up / idle. Its not too loud. And i don't think its drone or loud in the car. Wife thinks its fine which is always a good indicator considering she is mainly driving it. .
It is vinyl wrapped, so if you get it done and don't like it, you can remove it and its back to normal. A much cheaper exercise than getting another grille, or spraying your existing one.
hi mate. I too got a calais v instead of the ssv redline de to the creature comforts which the wife wanted like memory seats and heated seats.
I wasn't a big fan of the chrome grille and chrome around the fog light.
Here is a link to my car pics. I got the grille and fog light surrounds...
I was able to get a GEN F Clubsport exhaust fairly cheap which also had the bimodal valves. But after searching, realised connecting the bimodal was too hard so got the exhaust installed without the bimodal and some alternative tips added.
I was able to source a set of Gen F clubsport wheels...
Thoughts id share a few pics of my 2014 Calais V 6.0 sportswagon.
Bought the car back in May with 11,000 kms.
I wanted a SSV redline but the wife wanted memory and heated seats so the Calais was the only option.
First thing to get changed was the side flutes which i replaced for black ones...
I tried but looked pretty difficult to wire up due to not being a straight 12v connection. I just installed the mufflers without the bi-modals plugged.
No ended up being a harder task than what it was worth. I just got the mufflers installed without the bimodal. And i don't actually mind it. Its not too loud and very little drone.
hi. I got the plug with the exhaust. But based on what I've researched, its a lot of work to get the bimodal to work. properly. Apparently its not just connecting 12v power.
Yeah given its the family car, i wanted to stick to a fairly factory wheel like a HSV package. As stated, i still do like the Simons Fr but even if i did get this wheel, id keep a similar width / offset to the HSV wheels.
Guys I'm loving the healthy debates. The information provided by all is great.
To add to this, I have a VF calais v wagon which is the wife's car and the main reason I wanted a conservative wheel like the hsv. Not too out there. I am also thinking of the Simmons fr.
A set of VF hsv...
Hi guys, tried to search but couldnt find anything.
Will gen-f 20 inch staggered wheels fit a vf ss or calais running standard brakes? I assume they would but i know they have a different offset to suit the bigger brakes so wasnt suit if they would fit nicely or not.
Any advice would be...
wow didn't really expect it to be so complicated.
I do have the plug for one of the mufflers and there is only three wires coming out.
But looks like its harder than just connecting12v to the bimodal unit via a switch.
Hi all, hoping someone can help. Looking for a pin diagram for the VF electronic bimodal unit. There are 4 pins and would like to know which is ground, power etc. the exhaust is not on the car so I can't put a multimeter to test. Any help would be great.
I got my hands on a VF clubsport...

I don't think It won't flex enough for your cover
hi guys,
I have used the little stubby aerial and found i had static which could just be my location.
I have however found another aerial which works great and looks better than the standard long aerial. Its off the new Holden Cruze SRI which uses the same base (with gps) but has a shorted...
