    Centre muffler delete on V6?

Centre muffler delete is done. The exhaust shop did not want to do a H pipe so I've just got 2 straights. It's got a more aggressive tone, burbles more. Around the 3-4K rev range with foot to the floor there is a very raspy, scratchy tone. I'm unsure whether this is something vibrating...

    Centre muffler delete on V6?

You'll probably want the varex ones then as I don't think the Hsv ones are as loud as a straight pipe should be. I'll try and get a video to show the difference tomorrow.

    Centre muffler delete on V6?

Hey, thanks for the info! So you had that center on with rear deletes and it was pretty bad? Have you tried the same rear mufflers with and without the center? Just wondering if you compared as it would help me a bit! I think I'm going to do it, I've got the car booked in to have the rear...

    Centre muffler delete on V6?

I haven't wired them in yet, I'm thinking I'm going to get some pull solenoids and use that to close them. They work from vacuum, so when there's vacuum they are closed (forcing exhaust through the muffler) Will get a video of how it sounds.

    Centre muffler delete on V6?

Hey mate, Yeah. I've put a set of HSV bi-modals on the rear of mine just so I have a bit of volume control. More just trying to suss out if it'll make the car sound like utter crap or not!

    Centre muffler delete on V6?

Hey all, Just wondering if anyone has done a center muffler delete on a v6 VE? I've seen a few youtube videos with it done on SS's and it seems to give a bit more burble and crackle. I've been told by one exhaust shop that removing the center muffler makes 0 difference to the sound...

    Pod filter on SIDI 3.0L

Removed the pod filter as it was as I was driving without a MAF. V1 in the bin. V2 build. Went to the wreckers and bought an SIDI airbox, cut the MAF sensor mount out and did some ghetto work. The pod filter is mounted with some rubber, hose clamps and a tiny bit of PVC from Bunnings, with...

    Pod filter on SIDI 3.0L

Update again, drove it without the sensor and its not throwing errors. Did some highway and city. Honestly, I'm bored and I like how they sound. I changed my exhaust and its not as loud as it was in the upper rev range and the filter fills in that gap for me. I'm just changing things for the...

    Pod filter on SIDI 3.0L

Hey mate, update time. I checked a friend's SIDI z series 3.6 and it does not have this sensor. I've gone home, taken the pod out and put the stock airbox back in. Turned the car on, Check engine light. Disconnected the battery for 10 and turned her back on. No light, all good. I've...

    Pod filter on SIDI 3.0L

Hey guys, I decided to fiddle around with my intake and fit a pod filter. I disconnected the sensor after the air filter and unhooked the airbox. Upon taking the airbox out, I noticed there is a second sensor before the air filter but still in the top half of the box. I've had a google...
