I went for 2.5" Tri Y headers and 2.5" for the rest, to try and maximise low end torque, where we drive 99% of the time.

You've probably lost low end torque (whilst gaining at higher revs) with the 3" exhaust.

On my Harrop OTR, I wrapped the maf in exhaust heat shield. In heavy traffic the iat went up much slower and came down more quickly. I also just changed to a roto-fab for easier filter cleaning.

I'm sure the OTR gets more power at high revs, but would the stock and rotofab get better torque at lower revs (1-3000rpm) where most of the driving is done?

Has anyone gone from VCM/Harrop to a Rotofab or back to stock? I'm thinking of going back to stock for everyday driving in Sydney traffic (and ease of filter change/clean). I don't thing there would be much or any loss of power below 3000rpm (95% of driving).

I have the same T3 discs. Just get the calipers and you'll have stronger braking.Mine were installed at the Holden dealer after I bought some calipers on ebay. Pads are easy to get.

Yes, i had it the wrong way around. I've just been looking at a few different threads and I have seen both, but most put lower on rear than front. I still prefer the look of the standard height front/rear (4wd look?).

If it FE3 on a Redline, I wouldn't change it at all, as it's such a great handling car already. If it's FE2 on an SS, (for me I wouldn't change it either) keep it simple, springs, shocks and swaybars. Any good suspension shop, like Pedders or others, would have a good setup that matches the car...
