Sorry, I think you are right. So must bevsome other reason VE lights were better, most likely bigger and better reflectors I suppose. But as a general theme, older designs that so use the H4 system should still have a potential advantage...?

Bit of an aside but one extra reason ZB lights not as good as VE for example is that VE used H4 globes for the low beams which switch to a high beam pattern when high beam is selected. So once selected have all four globes set to high beam rather than only the inner two as on a lot of newer cars...

Could probably get away with regular street series ones on the back since do less work than the fronts, so less likely to wear as fast or warp... fronts will get pretty hot quite easily if you use grippy pads.

On the topic of tiny brakes I've been thinking about VF Police single pot front calipers... If the ZB has the same caliper bolt spacing as rhe VF and other GMH products these might be a bit taller and allow a bigger front rotor? Shouldn't be too hard to find a disk that will work IF the caliper...

Dunno if they are still available but Ferodo DS Performance pads would go nicely on plain 4000 series rotors. Very grippy al mu of 0.46 which from my experience occurs all the way from cold to smoking :-) Bit dusty so hopefully with dark coloured wheels...

I think the Simmons on the white RSV might look better in Silver. Probably smaller diameter better too. I think these are 20s, there 19s or 18s would give a better ride unless needed to fit bigger brakes under them, in which case those wheels probably not best choice anyway...

Normally if coolant was going missing I'd be worried about it ending up in the transmission..... I imagine that since radiator is under high pressure and trans cooler is low pressure water could potentially flow in only one direction. Although if you have had to top up 2.5 litres I'm not sure...
