Looks alright mate - rims are a little too much for me though!!

    Mick's VX Executive

looks good lowered with the rims. Got the same rims on mine. Just make sure that any kit you get fits exactly otherwise they can be more trouble than they are worth - looks amazing when it works though.

Yeh, fair call. I love to see that happen, but in all honesty how often does that actually happen?

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

Personally guys, I think that there is no point in making a car go faster if you can't use it and show it off. At least I can cruise around and get appreciation from others on the looks of my car. HoZy, I would rather "Waste" my money on the looks on my VX than "Waste" it on the performance...

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

It scrapes a bit on the underneath of the front. I am pretty careful with it so it doesn't happen much. It is fine over all speed humps I have been over as long as I go slow. Only problem is steep driveways or ones with funny angles on the gutter. Can usually avoid scraping though by going up...

Yes superlows all around. The VY kit was $2600 all up sprayed and fitted. That included the mesh fitting accessories and driving lights (which I have yet to fit - on the to do list).

Very true sixapeal. Take your car for instance with those 20's on it!! Did you have to get work done for them to fit on?? Also nice screen in the car!! Where abouts did you get it from and do you think it was worth it? I am thinking about 1 for my car, I want it to connect the iPod to and...

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

I have not tried to replicate anything. I started with a stock VX Equip and wanted to make it look unique whilst not going over the top. DO you think it looks unique? I would have to say so. I think I have achieved my objective.

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

Thanks for the feedback. I had to think for a while about getting the kit or not cos of the cost and if it would look good. I would just like to say that it is not a replica of anything. It is a VX with a VY kit on it and I have used items that I think would look good together as a whole not...

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

To get it lowered on super lows and get the wheels put on it cost me $1700 with the trade in of the wheels that I had on it. That was from the tyre factory in geelong.

I am glad it's a V6! With fuel up to almost $1.40 a litre I would not be a happy motorist with a V8!! In the future maybe an exhaust system and air intake would be nice too. That would save me a bit on fuel as well.

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

At the lowest point at the front next to the wheel it is 90mm off the ground. However I have been told that the height has to be measured 1m from the center of the wheel. If that is the case then it is legal. Otherwise a few more scrapes on speed humps and driveways should get it there!!

    VX HCV (Holden Customised Vehicle)

Hey all, Thought I would show off a little bit of my SII VX Equip. Here are a couple of photos (I will put some more up at a later date and with a better background). It's all looks at the moment and no go: - 18" VZ Monaro Wheels - Super Low King Springs - Monaro Tail Lights -...

    vx steering wheel buttons

Just to let you know there is a small bump on the outer middle of the middle button on either side of the steering wheel controls. This allows you to feel with your finger tip which button is the middle so you can then navigate to the appropriate button so you don't have to look down at the...

    vx ss trip wont reset

Hey, I have a series II equip and I couldn't work out how to reset my trip at first. People told me to press the up and down buttons together but that didn't work. I figured out that I had to press the up and down buttons together twice in a row in quick succession. Dunno if that will help??

    Lowering a VX Commodore

Also, you may need to get a rear camber kit fitted to ensure that the rear tyres wear more evenly. You can get the camber measured to see if you require a camber kit. Mine was measured and didn't require any adjustment. It is a 2002 VX Equip and has 18"s on it with super low king springs.

    Lowering a VX Commodore

I got my VX lowered with 18" rims on it. I got superlow king springs put on. They lowered it about 2.5" at the front and 3" at the back and it sits and rides really well. Well worth consideing. I got my wheels and springs done at the same time which saved a bit of cash too.
