Fluid is apparently ok but I’ve never changed the trans fluid at 162000 right now..

So the transmission doesn’t need to come out for this type of work to be done?

Best response I have had Best reply I’ve had. Appreciate it. I have a video of going from reverse to drive you’ll hear the clunk, but when going from drive to reverse you’ll hear that gurgle sound. That’s what I’m hearing while driving at low speeds and it gets harder to listen at high speeds

What would happen if the issue didn’t get fixed ? ( I want it fixed but am short of money at the moment )

I’ll show you this video I just uploaded . So going from reverse to drive obviously a clunk and then from drive to reverse you’ll hear a clunk but also a gurgling type noise inbetween ( what I’m hearing while I’m driving, letting off the acceleration and on)

One of my mechanics said there’s backlash in the diff, a new diff was put in 2020 so 4 years ago. If there is backlash in the diff what could possibly be wrong inside it?

Found it. Don’t understand why he said it doesn’t need a trans fluid replacement when I asked him - he says it will last the life of the car

I can’t because he ripped it out after servicing it last time when it would of said to do the transmission service…

My mechanic will be copping an ear full tomorrow.

Is it shown in a series 2 black edition 2016 model ? My car got serviced at 159,000kms and I asked my mechanic if it said to do the transmission fluid at the prior service and he said it wasn’t there

I’ve got 162000 and have never done a trans service the mechanic said the oil is for the life of the car which I find hard to believe

Any other possibilities? Engine mounts trans mounts struts have all been checked by a local mechanic all are ok apparently. No one seems to be able to diagnose the problem
