appreciate all the feedback. cartoonwally i havn't charged the cap yet so I think I'll do it like you said, to have my amps '+' connected to the cap first and then charge my cap..... As for caps having an adverse effect on a system I strongly think they do have benefit to a system with amps...

thanks for the replies. Yeh the stinger cap. came with a light bulb. What I'm still uncertain about is, once I've charged the cap how do i go about connecting it up to the system? (Also do you charge it at the battery or in the boot?) Correct me if I'm wrong but once i've charged the cap...

Hey I'm in the middle of a boot install. I got a 4ch Kicker Amp and a Kicker Monoblock. I bought a 1 farad Stinger cap, and I'm abit iffy bout the installation. I've read all the other posts already but not too certain. I've got 4g wire from the battery to a fuse then to my cap in the boot...

Is it possible to wire a Kicker 12" CVR DVC 2ohm sub to a ZX 400.1 Kicker amp at 2ohms. Or can I only have the sub running at 4ohms??? I'm guessing I have to change my sub to a DVC 4ohm to have it running at 2ohms??? Is this correct?

Wondering if it's possible to run a 12" Pioneer TS-W306C subwoofer with the Kicker ZX400.1 class D amp. The specs for the amp say it can run 200watts at 4ohms or 400 at 2ohms. The nominal impedance for the sub is 4ohm. Do I simply wire it up, neg(sub) to neg(amp) and then pos(sub) to pos(amp)...

Cheers; I know what the specs are already. What I'm trying to figure out is how to go about connecting the subwoofer output from h/u to the input on my amp. As the h/u has a single output for subwoofer and the amp has two RCA line level inputs as it's a 2channel amp. Cheers Neway

Yeh, I'm not worried bout it moving while driving that can be fixed easy. My concern, is if someone decides to try and take it I want to atleast make it difficult for the BAST@#*!S. Or better still, make it theift proof. Think the best way might be to take dash facia off and screw from inside...

mounting a double din DVD monitor with no bracket..... Bought a JVC double din DVD monitor. I've connected all the wires and soldered them...blah,blah, blah. However. WHat is the best way to mount a double din unit in my vx commodore, as the brackets from the stock h/u don't fit onto my new JVC...

B-T-GiZzLe how'd you go connecting the wires from the headunit to the socket on your vx. DO I need to cut the wires off the socket from the old headunit and join the new ones to them or do I need to buy some type of joiner/socket.............. Any advice on how to install it would be good.

G'day. I just got my car lowered today with superlow king springs. Cost me $180 for all 4 springs (staff price) and $120 to install them. I had them installed at suspension city in North, Melbourne. Just springs with std. shocks etc. Ultra low would allow your tyre to sit under the guard...

Problem solved. It was right the first time. I just couldn't see my parkers were on because it was broad daylight...:bang: . All you can do is laugh... Anyone no how to delete this post, if so it can now begone. Cheers

Those damn springs and bearings are an absolute pain. At one stage they were popping out and the spring was shooting them across the room...lol. Funny now that I think bout it, but at the time it was fustrating. Before I post a pic I think I should try turning the metal link in another...

I took my dash facia off the other day to have it resprayed. And last night I took out all the switch's I don't want painted (Mode switch, emergency light switch and the headlight switch). I took the headlight switch out and it f@*^#n fell apart. Need to know how everything is to be positioned...

Well I still havn't lowered my car after too many months. Was told to go to Tyre Factory in Footscray. And was quoted for King Spring Superlows fitted and Munroe GT GAS shocks all round - $760 including all parts and labour. This seems very decent to me, any advice???

Found out that the springs are pedders superlow, not ultra low. I'm not going to bother getting shockers for now, or a camber kit as there's no need. Just a wheel allignment, a week after installation. Cheers all for the advice. I'll post pics when it's done
