    For the Missus

Thanks for the nice comemnts guys. Speaking of looking after it, on delivery I spent the whole day on the paint. Farecla G10 to clean paint and remove any minor blemishes applied by hand. Then a coat of maguires polish then a coat of Liquid Gold Class Wax. Looks a treat clean.

Well not to be outdone the missus wanted an upgrade from the Honda, so she convinced me to get a Calais. I said ok but it has to be BLACK and a V8. So heres the result, two weeks old lowered 40mm and tint. Thats it for now.

Firstly apologies for the very late reply. I have been um....elsewhere you might say. Thanks for the nice comments and the exhaust shop took care of the body mod through a local panel shop. It added $110 to the price but was well worth it. Since the shots above I have otrcai, tune and...

    2Questtions

303 is the best dash and interior protectant on the market IMO, doesn't leave a film to collect dust and is 100% UV protectant. makes vinyls and pastics look new. For Leather I use mcguires leather luster. As far as washing interior I use spray and wipe watered down say 1:3. Spray on...

    thermo fan on a 5L

It was about 40 bucks from Supercheap, your can set it where you like but you dont want it coming on before the thermostat cuts in etc

    Extractors

If money is an issue get some SS Factory headers off a VQ statesman. The power difference is negligible on standard V8's and the exhaust note is heaps better than factory cast headers.

    Shell V-Power Racing

Guys I think we need to differentiate here on V6 and V8 fuel economy. My 5Lt gets anywhere from 250-400 k's from 50lts of fuel thats 20-12.5 Lt's/ 100km's. I think if I nursed it around I could do heaps better but I didn't buy a V8 to be a nurse. On the fuel thing I have used every...

    thermo fan on a 5L

VS Series III 5L, Auto, Ok, I have now fitted a single 16" Fan and all is operational. You wont get a bigger one in and nor do you need it. There is already a fan for the airconditioning condenser. So i decided I only needed one fan engine side of the radiator. I purchased a 16" fan from...
