Hey mate i used the thread to take it out. I cant use the standard holes in the side as there is no holes in the vs to screw through. The orginal head unit has brackets and are screwed in from the front not the side :(!

Hey guys i bought and headunit to put in my vs 1997. Ive put it in but cant actually secure it as its suppose to be screwed in from the sides. I cant mount the brackets of the stock head unit either as there isnt the correctly placed holes. Its a pionner headunit. Anything i can buy or any ideas...

no offence mate but i cant find a possible reason to spend 6000 on a paint job for a vs comodore. You may as well... a. buy a better commodore eg vt..vx...vy.. with the money from the car and the 6000 u would spend on paint or b. buy an awsome vs for about 8 grand with good paint already

Hey Im 18 years old with a stock vs commodore 1997 series 2 exutive. I want some rims but not sure what legally i can get to get another roadworthy so my insuarance pays out (racv). I think the stockies at 15inch's. iw ould like 18 inch rims but i hear im only allowed 2 inchs above orginal...

How do i got about this vs commodore 1997 series 2 excutive. Im adding a sub by using the stock head unit and need to tap into the 12 volt yellow assesories power cable to power the amp so the amps only powered when the car is.

Hey i bought a vs commodore and its tottaly stock. Speakers actually arent to bad with the head unit. I just wanted to add a sub (off an amp of course) until i can afford to upgrade everything. Is this possible at all. Costly? Ive got the sub and amp already off a mate. Cheers let me know!

Hey got it fixed. A few cog bearings screwed up and the engine belt broke. Was like 10 min job.

I got my mates dads whos a mobile mechanic comming around at 1 oclock :)! Should be fixed.. Just getting a new belt.

i just checked under the hood and there is no belts left on the cog things.

Hey yeh first things are.. 17inch or 18inch rims.. Super low springs. soundsystem 6inch all round, 12 inch sub. ill look into that other stuff (clear indicators ect) any links on where to buy em.

really 450 of a tank thats alrite. i think its only a 60 litre tank. I should be only driving maybe 150-250 km a week. so hopefully keep it under 40 bucks a week petrol.

Yeh deffintly gunna get the racv check. Then a few other checks which verfies the ownership of the car and tells you about any write off crashes or stolen claims on the vechiel.
