I have been hearing this annoying noise with most 90 degree left or right turns. Sounds like something metal sliding across another metal surface then stopping abruptly. I checked everything in the boot, lifted the boot liner and rear seat mats - nothing.
So last night I took my daughter...
As an outside observer, I really hope that this is legit. Since Holden became collateral damage in GM's misguided attempts to rule the world, special Holdens should be retained.
But man, just show us some damn photos ! Otherwise it is just talk. Watch what I do here:
My first car was an HQ...
So I had my Sep 14 build SV6 in to Patterson Cheney for the 3000km free service last week. I mentioned that Mylink had frozen with my iphone connected and that I had read that there was a Mylink 3.0 upgrade. She looked at me strangely but said the guys would check. When the car got back from...
I like the way it works with flow through actually flowing without the fan.
I have a different issue with the ventilation system. If I have it set to recirculate, I have no issues. But if I change it to flow through, I get a faint burning rubber smell when the car is stationery. The smell...
Thanks.
No - price was well short of an SS. I got retiree pricing as my father in law was chief of security at Holden Dandenong for 30 years. I did the sums with an SS and SSV and could not come close.
With sports armour fitted:
And with my brother's Redline
Just picked up my SV6 sedan today. I have never bought a new car before, so this is pretty special to me.
It took 3 months from ordering to delivery as I asked for a pretty unusual combination.
Specs:
2014 Commodore SV6 sedan
6 speed manual
Sunroof
Satnav
Side track stripes
1600kg...
Haven't posted for a while here (3 years !) but I still have both cars. The wagon now also has International wheels as I cracked a rim and got a used set for less than a single SV6 rim.
I crashed my trailbike a while ago and lost interest so now the twins have a new sibling - 1979 S1 Mazda...
Calaber, thanks for the great instructions.
A couple of extra points to add to help anyone else with the same problem:
1. The metal frame that holds the glovebox in place gets in the way when you try to remove the amplifier. You do not need to completely remove the frame, there is a...
Hi guys,
I have a problem that has just happened with my VY Berlina with single zone climate air.
The HVAC fan does not work on Auto, or fan speeds 1 - 4. The only way it works is on the High setting (select fan setting four, then go one more). The aircon and heat settings work normally...
No more plans. Both have tint and the Berlina came with pretty much all the comfort mod cons you could need. I'm not really into go faster stuff and I'm too old for bling.
They are both daily drivers and my personal money pit is the house (and kids) and as they cost me nothing to run I am...
Here are some of the 'mods' done by others - first the wagon, a guy pulled out of a servo in front of my wife (in a nice VP Commodore).
Next the sedan, rear ended by 'some guy in a grey import' according to my wife.
Plus, some of my favorite shots:
I would think that this is a pretty stupid thing to do. Get a second tank fitted.
My wife got rearended in her VY sedan. The only thing that stopped the car from being a writeoff was the spare tyre taking a lot of the impact. On my VY wagon, the donut tank is in the spare wheel well, and...
Thanks.
The wagon is slightly lower than the sedan but neither are lowered - not really practical for some of the roads I drive on.
I love the International wheels too. They used to be on the wagon (I originally wanted a Berlina International wagon but I couldn't find one) but put them on...
Hi guys,
This is my first post. I've spent a lot of time on US boards for GTO and G8, but thought I would like to see what's happening locally.
I have a pair of VY Berlinas.
Mine is a 2003 VY series 1 Berlina V6 wagon in Berry Red. Mods are
17" VZ SV6/SV8 alloys
Series 2 fog...
