I had no oil pressure before sump removal hence the reason I started all this I did drop the k frame to do the job ( will be quicker next time lol ) Cheers will try that geeez I am a doodle thanks for the reply's guys

You can take it off but you need to drop the k frame and support the engine

cheers for your help guys took a few hours as I did it over 2 days getting gaskets etc I had forgotten, so I cleaned silicone out of the pick up replaced all gaskets etc packed the oil pump with grease cranked and started the car but stil no oil pressure . I am a bit stuck with what to do I did...

Was going to undo the mounts stick wood under them to chock it try that way ... Don't know anyone with a crane .... I don't really want to drop the k frame but will if I really have too, my old one is a little bent and have a straight one so.

I have tried to search the forums without much luck I am after a definate answer as to wether or not I can just jack the engine up and chock it, to remove the sump as I need to check my oil pick up and replace or clean it......I don't have a hoist or crane so was hoping to do it engine in...

If you are blowing boxes on gas you need to either advance your timming or you have an air leak:) mine did the same thing because it wasn't tunned right

If you use the expensive hose it wont blow, when i got my vg v8 rbuilt the tranny hoses wre all bent and buckled so i replaced them all through with the expensive hose high pressure stuff and never had a problem ??

If you remove the exhaust $75 with the headers extractors the only thing missing is the cat but I have one if you realy need it

got them but in vic

$50 if you help remove it 2 1/2" cat back big tip on the end good condition ( if your really interested will have a second look to be sure ) about 30 mins from cranny

it has headers and I think it only has a rear muffler it did have a straight through cat but that is now on my ute wrx884 would realy like to just get rid of the whole doors if I take the runners and motors out of the doors I would have to charge $100 plus shipping
