Hi all (my first post) I know it’s last minute but any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. I have just bought a vs v8 Manuel Ute! :) about 2 and a half hours from home and have to trailer it home I have never towed a car before let alone a trailer of this size (borrowing it of bro in-law)...

You can get ones that have the filter enclosed and the maf is retained but technically you should have it enginnered with the new setup in order to be legal. Hope that helps just woundering if you no where i can find one of these and or what they are called so i can do serch on them...

One thing I thought of the other day is.. and yea I understand the otr goes strait in so that’s good. But it sounds like the tune is really what’s making the biggest difference not the mods?

haha fair enough so im slowly gathering that the otr is heaps beater then a cold air induction through a k&n pannel filter? but are we talking heaps beta ? or beta like when you put a k&n filter in your car n think its faster...

So the car will run beta as in smoother without the air sensor thing once you get a mafless tune? or beta as in quicker? But not smoother?

Also dose any 1 no if a OTR is legal?

Is it still going to be reliable with the otr or will it require constant tuning and become a pain in the ass.? I don’t like my car at the mechanic

Ok so, it’s easy to tell every 1 what they said is wrong, well what’s your opinion? I want to do a few things to it to make it quicker than average (average being my bros vy ss) but still want it to be reasonable on fuel and reliable for trips because after all it’s meant to be a family car...

when you say "a split VZ ezhaust" do you mean like twins?

Properly not heaps but not sure if I want an 8 now that he has 1. I have heard if you do the air intake, exhaust and pulleys it in standard 8 territory?

I have a V6 Vr Calais in really good nick with a really low 120km on the clock leather interior cloth in centre of seats I think it’s a pretty common in vr Calais very neat only mods is I had a head unit and speakers front and 6x9 in back not sure what brand also ss cold air intake and k&n...

Oh really steering wheel shudder I have never heard of that... Is it bad? You mean like the wheel shake’s slightly from side to side on idle?

Factory but am planning to do some of the easier mods like cold air, exhaust, and pulleys so I can hopefully keep up with my brother who just bought a Vy SS (my dream car… PUNK!!)

Ok so... It’s under the windscreen wipers under the plastic cowling..? Do you no if it a part easily replaced and easy to buy? Or is it maybe a job for some 1 that no's what the doing?
