I have been filling up latley form a United station where they have 100 Ron fuel. I only just realized that it has the Ethanol in it. Car seems to run great (V8 08 SSV ute) on it. My "old school" mechanic said he wouldn't use it. Just wondering what others think??? Cheers.

They are a very close to a match with the CBS wheels and also come in a satin black spoke as opposed to the gloss black..which may look even nicer again..will be going to have a squiz soon. Some more searching and still no sign of CBS wheels..I thought he may have read it incorrectly and I also...

My 07 V8 Calais has the manual "sport mode" button that you can engage disengage. I noticed that later models didn't seem to have this which disappointed me as I think it works really well. (and I am thinking of updating) I just did a web search and found an article that says that models...

Good point. I do think some Calais came out with 17's. I have also seen nascar style in 18's that would be ok but Ive not seem any here.

I had a drive around town today in triptronic mode and have to say its a lot of fun. You dont even have to go over the speed limit to enjoy being able to rev the silky 6 litre out a bit more and have some nice control of the car with engine braking. I am sure others know how good this is...

Yesterday I noticed that when I used my indicators ..as well as the usual sound..I can hear another clicking sound coming from the back of the car.. I am guessing its a relay.. anyone know if its a problem or just a VE "thing"? I didnt have the radio on by the way so I dont think its any...

One thing that is constantly annoying me with my VE Calais is the crappy plastic panels on the side of the center console that just seem to fall off/come loose.. for no reason..they seem like a bad fit in the first place and even when they are sitting ok..there is still a gap between the side...

Another one that REALLY bugs me. Putting speed bumps in 40 and 50k zones that make you slow down to like 5k's cos they are so ****** big ! Surly it would make more sense to make the speed bump to a height that would slow the average car to the approximate speed of the zone !
