my vt wagon used to do this, but it is a v6.
The problem was the bcm (body control module)
Eventually it just refused to run. It would fire up for about 1 second then cut out. Then nothing. If you removed key locked doors then unlocked them replaced key it would fire once then cut out.
$400...
I think you're right.
Back in my bike days I remember being very disappointed when my gsx1100 was noisier and crankier and had less ground clearance and I couldn't use the centre stand after I fitted a much vaulted four into one exhaust. I could never even hear it when I gave it to it. My mates...
Guys
I have just bought a 5.7litre wh stato (2001) and I can't tell if the extra radiators are for the air con or if they are for the transmission? Is there a way to tell other than removing all the covers stone trays etc and actually eyeballing it?

I ordered one today for my wh statesman. $140 each. from Kempsey Holden. Repco rang Monroe and they said genuine only. But if you're paying $190 I'm happy, perhaps you need to question your dealer about the price.

where are you?
your post says Sanctuary point, I thought that was in Qld.
You say you can deliver to the Gong?
I'm interested but live in Kempsey, (if it doesn't wash away in this latest downpour.)

either a dead battery in the key which is the best case scenario or the body control module has died and won't recognise the key or do any of the other things you mentioned. Mine did exactly that. Cost about $500, but I don't remember if that included 2 new keys at $75 each or not. You need new...
mine decided it would fire once then stop. Then nothing. Remove key. nothing. Get out, lock car. Get back in try again, same story.
It was the body control module refusing to recognise the key. $500 later plus 2 new keys at $75 each and it goes again. Bloody technology. Bloody holden. Bloody...

Mine had one crook lead. You could see where t had been arking out. Didn't worry the petrol system one bit, but literally blew the arse out of the gas system, well the airbox anyway.

Mine just did exactly the same thing. $55 for a second hand air box. $72 for a set of gas compliant leads, checked the plugs they're ok. Good as new. Gas is soooo fussy about spark. It wouldn't even run once the box was destroyed. But it was perfect on petrol which isn't as fussy.

Guys I'm looking at buying a 90,000km vx11 wagon with a 5.7l ls1 donk and auto box. Its a berlina so I think it also has a limited slip diff.
What do I need to look out for? How do I check that the bits and pieces are ok. eg I read somewhereelse on this forum to pump the accelerator at a...
