Yea def sounds like timing is out. Obviously got fuel if it's coughing it up out the carby n I assume you checked and have spark so the two elements are there just not at the right time.

Hey guys doing another v6 conversion. Used the whole vn loom and just got a few wires left iv taken picks. If ya got a vn or even a vk converted to a vn v6 please just let me know where these few wires go. Saves me alot of headaches with tryin to use the dam wiring diagrams! Cheers in advance!

If ya need any help on doing a v6 conversion let me know. Iv done one already n doing my brothers using the whole vn loom n nearly done. I highly recommend it for p players cos usually got better fuel economy and got as much power as anyone else with a commodore but in an older way better...
