thanks for the help everyone, sorry i didnt reply quicker ive been running around all day experimenting with spares and **** trying to get it run properly again... so i ended up replacing the coil pack, got 9mm leads so i dont mind about that because i stepped them up from standard, and replaced...

hey fellow commodore and other car owners :) i have a slight issue with my vs... its not firing on all cylinders i think its the coil pack but i tried to bring up the error codes to see what the ecu had to say but it only came up with 12 so it thinks everything is a ok but clearly its not...

only manually, it wasnt reprogrammed or anything but its worked like that for a couple of months now...

well it was working for ages before this happened so i dont think its that and i looked on the site for how to reprogram it but it says it cant be done, have u got a link for it? but the key got wet, does the 1 hour de immobilising trick work on vts like it does on vs's?

yeah that was happening... the column was replaced in it with one out of another vt so it has a different ignition and key in it now, would that affect the immobiliser that was already in the car?

nah just starts normal then cuts out, i got no idea why ive checked everything basic and i couldnt see anything thats why i looked to the diagnostics check but now that wont even work

thanks for the reply, nah mate the car starts then cuts out almost instantly... but i cant even get a code to come up now, for some reason when i bridge it with a paper clip to run the diagnostics nothing happens at all. any ideas on why that might be or what i could do about it?

hey people, ive got a problem with checking the error codes on a vt, i know how to do it bridge 5 and 6 so i did it and it came up with 83 but there is no code 83 so i went to check it again and now it wont work at all, no lights flash or anything... ive tried bridging other ways and unhooking...

dont mean to dig up on old thread but i couldnt find anything on my problem in other threads, im bridging the right pins 5 and 6 and it worked once but came up with code 83 so i checked and there isnt an 83 so i went back to check it again and bridged it the same way but the engine light wouldnt...

is the canary still there or is she gone?

yeah i didnt know i was gonna do a complete electrical and motor swap with a vt, i thought i was just gonna get a new gearbox and rebuild my buick motor, but then i ended up with a written off vt but by this time the vn was already a rolling car and someone left my lights on in the vt one night...

I spent hours on JC lastnight searching high and low for any kind of wiring diagram for a vt, i probably found two but they were to do with engine management and the other was a circuit... I think this website being called JUST COMMODORES should have a pdf of a complete service manual for every...

hi all, im swapping the body harness over from my a vt to a vn and ive come to a halt as i have no manuals for either car... i need to swap the tail lights plugs off the vn harness on to the vt harness and was just wondering if someone could help with a diagram or even colour code the wires on...

:) pulled the motor out, had a break for a few hours, few rums few cigarettes then it started raining so i put the bonnet back on and now we wait for the rain to stop, prep the engine bay up and paint it a very pale lime green...

stripped the engine bay, getting ready to pull the buick motor out, paint engine bay and drop vt motor in :) also discovered that u have to pull the whole world apart just to get the heater hoses out of the bay, during this i decided id pull the fuel lines off and got sprayed in the face...

alright, another question... im going to run the vt loom from the engine bay to the dash, then what loom would i run through the body and to what ecu, vt loom or vr loom to vt or vr ecu, im just thinking how the dash cluster is gonna go cause the vt cluster is all digital... help would be...
