I think hot dogs are designed to quiet down straight through exhausts. So you use hot dogs in place of a centre muffler but they are quieter than no muffler but louder than a central muffler. I might be wrong but I thought that is how it works? Maybe try with no muffler or hot dog?

I run no middle muffler on my 2.5" system and the sound is completely different to stock. Your full 3" should sound nice, but as mentioned above I'd drop the middle muffler.

Off to see Sonny at Marranos after a bad experience with Walkinshaw. Really looking forward to the V8 getting a unique tune as apposed to a template tune that it has already! The OTR is made by ORSSOM so hopefully they are good? Will report back to update after the job is done. Cheers...

Hope your local Walkinshaw is better than mine. I will never go back. Booked into Marranos instead. Walky gave me a generic bullshit tune and my steering column was left rubbing against the heat shield on the extractor install.

Personally I think your problem might be the 3 inch. I have a full HM/Perry 2.5" exhaust including extractors and outlaw cats fitted by Walkinshaw and there is minimal drone. I am off Walkinshaw now as I have had a horrid experience recently. But the hardware is good.

Had the job done. I'm probably 90% happy. The sound is awesome. Just getting used to the feel, might sound silly but I feel more of the engine vibration though the steering wheel and pedals. It's probably just the frequency the full exhaust system puts out? Have a slight metal on metal rattle...

Update: slight delay as Walky are changing the cats they use. Parts probably will not arrive from Melbourne til week after next. Dale at Wetherill Park mentioned that there can be a problem with the current cats after 10,000kms.

Well I am booked into Walkinshaw next Friday! Have the day off so going to hang around the workshop while they do the job. The extractors are 4 into 1. I'm a bit excited lol
