Lowerd my miss's ve calais and now have a problem. Help?

Mine did that and it was just the rubber that curls around the spring. Wasn't put back on the spring when fitted. I think it needs to sit near the top portion.

    VE ssssl front king springs.

I have the black king springs in mine. It sits pretty low at the front. Check out my pics to see how it sits. Keep in mind I'm actually going back to my pedders because they sit a little higher. Get too many issues at this height.

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

It's nice to see my thread is still alive and well......not in a good way though. My new engine has been going great. Not one drop of oil used as yet but I've probably only done 3000 k's since it was installed. I feel for the guys that aren't getting the service I did but keep at them. I suppose...

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

Keep in mind that I just got a new engine fitted but they still want me to continue with normal servicing which means I'll be up for my 30,000 service in July even though the new engine would have only 3000 km's on it. Just get it done to stay safe!

They did say that they did the wheel alignment but it didn't come out on my printout. I'll have to believe them I suppose

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

I just had a thought......and it hurt! I've been reading the printout of my engine replacement and what they did. They dropped the engine down which consisted of removing the tail shaft, suspension and and other components to get it out. No mention of wheel alignment though. Should they have...

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

Picked up the car last night. Everything seems ok at this stage. Definitely more power there but when she's run in I'm sure it will be more again. I asked the service lady behind the desk whether I need to do an engine run-in procedure again and she said 'no, I wasn't told you needed to' lol. I...

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

After all these issues I've had I doubt I would ever buy a Holden again but not sure what I'd get. I still love Holden's don't get me wrong, it's just hard for me to contemplate buying another one. I just hope there isn't anymore ongoing issues after the engine is replaced. Funny thing is I...

Did they look at yours internally? That's where they found the problems in mine. Hit them up for a new one.

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

Unfortunately the car has been sitting at Holden now since last Wednesday so I can't really go over the car with anybody to prove that there isn't any existing damage. I'll just have to hope nothing happens to it. I'm sure they do their best not to damage or scratch any part of the car and I...

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

Firstly, I'm not complaining. I'm just explaining what is happening and whether other people think I should look at compensation. I'm happy they are giving me a new engine and not just telling me it's fine or within tolerance or whatever, they are doing the right thing. This isn't the only...

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

I know I won't be compensated and I know a new engine is compensation for the issues I had but you have to admit I've spent more $$$ over the past 2 years on oil and fuel for no reason. I just hope that there isn't any damage to my car by replacing the engine. Maybe I should hit them up for a...

Update on my Oil Consumption Problem-Very Interesting

Hi all, So, I've been back and forwards to Holden in the last few months trying to get to the bottom of this oil consumption issue. I've had the oil levels checked every 3000 k's from about 10,000 k's on the clock. Now has 20,000 on the clock. The first couple of tests that were done showed...

SIDI SV6 SERIES I - excessive engine oil consumption

Sorry to bring up an oldish thread but just thought I would share my experience on this. I had the last of 3 consumption tests done this morning and the result shocked me a little. I had only done 2000 k's since the last test and this time around I used 1 litre of oil. The 2 previous times it...

    Coolant for the SIDI

Thought I'd give you guys an update on this. The first time this happened which was about 2 weeks ago they replaced the radiator hose and clamp under warranty. 2 weeks later to the day it happens again.....top radiator hose comes off, loose all coolant, engine gets too hot and goes into safety...

    2011 series 2 SV6 3.6 SIDI

Another question I have for you guys is this......do you notice smoke from the rear of the car under heavy acceleration? I know that when I put my foot down I blow a fair bit of smoke which obviously tells me that it's burning the oil pretty damn rapidly. Could this also be caused by faulty or...

    2011 series 2 SV6 3.6 SIDI

Yeah, I've been driving a bit harder when the kids aren't in the car...lol. From a lot of the answers I've read I think full synthetic is the way to go. Maybe Holden need to change their recommendations on oil.

    2011 series 2 SV6 3.6 SIDI

My test resulted in 500ml used in 2500 k's which is still pretty high IMO. They checked for leaks and none were found. Have to go back in another 3000 k's for the next test.

    Coolant for the SIDI

Mate, I haven't touched the hoses at all. The thing just slipped off the radiator pipe thingo. Not unless it wasn't on properly in the first place. Seems strange to happen after 16000 k's though. It's going in today to have the oil test and they said they would replace the coolant under...

    Coolant for the SIDI

Hi guys and gals, 2011 SIDI I had an issue yesterday where my top radiator hose came off and all the coolant escaped. I managed to get the car home before it overheated. I've since just filled it with water to get me to work today until I can get it to Holden hopefully tomorrow. It...

    VE SV6 Series 2 Voodoo

Thanks buddy! Took me 2 sets of wheels to get it right, only cause I damaged the last ones. I've had the RCA mod done by Phreddy, replaced all the speakers, disconnected the centre speaker, 1 amp to run my speakers and 1 amp to run the subwoofer. I didn't spend a lot but the difference is...

    2011 series 2 SV6 3.6 SIDI

I'm also in the process of an oil consumption test but have yet to go back for my first checkup. They want to check the oil levels every 3000k's, I'm not up to that yet. I know that when I put my foot to the floor on takeoff the car blows some smoke. Not sure if all the SIDI's do this but this...
