I took the mesh out and threw it. No idea if I was meant to keep it or not. I removed the mesh by pulling one of the corners away (maybe with long nose pliers, can't remember) then dragged it up and out since there was crap sitting on it still.

Hey all, On my Omega i have a 2.5" X-Force catback exhaust fitted. I'm no longer after the noise of an exhaust in the car and want to quieten it down. Could this be done by just changing both mufflers to stock SS ones? Or would I need the catback part of the SS one? Is there another easy...

A tune will top it all off. I did a catback 2 1/4 exhaust, CAI OTR then after a while added the tune to it in my Omega. It may not have added a great deal of power but definitely helped my torque/acceleration and felt faster.

This. It will probably have double sided tape or whatever (mine did) to hold it there in addition to the screws so might have to apply some pressure to get it to pop out.

I would hold fire until something goes wrong. I would be looking at new mobo/CPU and ram (and a nice SSD if you don't have already) when things start going haywire. If you are ok with not having the latest and best then no need to as I see it.

Not all Calais' came with the FE2. Some came with LSD and FE2, others had open diff and FE1.5 I believe.

Yeah that's what I believe. Redline's have the 4 piston Brembo fronts so their wheels will obviously clear coming from factory.

Yeah that's what I'm seeing. I'm thinking black on black with the new wheels. All the silver inside the wheels will hopefully even out the colours.

As I was half expecting, the brakes don't clear my wheels so now to buy new ones. I'm thinking the VF SSV Redline wheels. They look pretty good and from the pics I've seen they will clear.
