hmm cant find anything, but one thing i found is under the boot carpet was a whole bunch of self tapping screws in the metal.... all in random location, and under this is a sort of rectangular box which the back part of the diff is connected to... from what i can tell none of them actually do...

what do u mean cvs? and it was making the noise before the new diff, but it is worse since all those parts have come out and been undone then put back in..

nah its defiantly not the diff, alright ill check that later

i couldnt find any movement in anything around the diff, bolts are all tight... is it possible that the spring coils are hitting each other? :S

yeh kingswood same thing it sounds like, just put a new diff in, new oil all that ****, but ill check the right drive shaft, no towbar and 150000...

hey guys i have a 2005 vz ss, it has been making a really loud thump/bang noise in the drivers side back corner on a hard 1st to 2nd gear change and also when ever the right rear wheel is under any sort of pressure and the road is bumpy... it will bang... bang bang. i thought it was the bushes...
