E series HSV's with 325kw output had H type mid sections.
Were they 2.5" or 2.25" on the E Series 325's? I think the 340 headers and cats were the only 2.5", the rest 2.25"

317kw was 2.25, basically the same as SS, SSV.
325kw was 2.5.
340kw was 2.5 plus larger collector on the headers.(on Gen F1)
E series GTS's were 2.5 and 325kw, MY12.5 Clubbies and Maloo's were 317 or 325.

I think 340 also went to Nov 16 in Gen F2 with the SV Black, Track Edition and Senator.

I think 340 also went to Nov 16 in Gen F2 with the SV Black, Track Edition and Senator.
The 340's weren't Euro 5 compatible, they were the last of the Gen F1 pre orders.

Late 2015(start of MY16) was when we went to Euro 5, and HSV dropped the LS3 and went to the LSA. Was the end of the line for HSV LS3's so were probably just finishing of dealer orders.
LS3's in Holden's complied with Euro 5 and rerated at 304kw.

Late 2015(start of MY16) was when we went to Euro 5, and HSV dropped the LS3 and went to the LSA. Was the end of the line for HSV LS3's so were probably just finishing of dealer orders.
LS3's in Holden's complied with Euro 5 and rerated at 304kw.
SV Black R8 340 was released May 26th 2016 along with the Track Edition and ended October 31st 2016. Euro 5 began November 1st 2016 for existing models. The 340 was dropped initially in Gen F2 and re-launched when a Euro 5 extension was given to Australian manufactured existing model cars. The SV Black Maloo I got the 340 headers and midpipe from for my SSVR ute was build dated May 2016. It seems between November 2015 and May 25th 2016, there were no Gen F2 340's. There's plenty of info in relation to the 340 re-launch and end I quickly discovered. VF2 LS3's were all Euro 5 I believe.

Fair enough. I was given my info from Andrew Purcell at a HSV owners meeting.

I’m still shocked at how much the whole note has changed even my cold start is so much deeper and has lopey thump, growl.
Here's the sound of mine, just a quick blast up the road with an R8 Maloo 2.5" midpipe and my own X- pipe with the equivalent of an 1 7/8" hole joining the pipes. The Maloo X pipe joins them for about 4.5" and since changing mine, it has more of an H-pipe note than it did previously.
