Why not ask a NZ member to have a look at their VIN to see if it slots into your calculations?

i was under the impression the numbers would be the same, as they are manufacturing numbers from the elizabeth plant, even tho there exports.

just like the GTO and the Lumina SS etc are now, arent they?

The GTO has the same numbering system but for the 6G2VX12. The Aussie cars have 6G1. - the 2 must be for the export cars.

The GTO is at Birdwood car place.

Any body from the Long Island willing to take a snap of their NZ Holden compliance plate and post it up for me?

Based on the info you gave the 100,000 VN serial number will be around 400,675 ish. That is that they produced around 135 cars a day at that time and 8 days x 135 = 1,080 cars. 399,595 + 1,080 = 400,675.

We know that some VN's have 294,999 s/n so some numbers were not used/missed from the production.

Hmmmm. more work neede here.:whistling

d'oh i would have been so happy if my vn is a vn berlina manual, and then to top it off the 100,000 vn. dam in tears now.

my dad owns a car yard, i can get you quite a few vn vin's if you want. might take a while though cause vn's aren't really mainstream now.

also i can get you vg, vp, pretty much whatever, even ve

thanks for checking that for me mate
cheers

Found a vg made in Aug 90 so some had gone down the line - but not many before the 5,000,000 holden was made on the 29th Aug 90.
