Welcome to JC’s

Why does it matter? SV6’s don’t matter so much and the official “last car“ was a V8 and has already been sold for silly money at auction as was the vehicle with the last body through the paint shop…

After all, in a race, there is no real honour in being the first looser :p:p:p

How many cars did they build in a day? And 4 days out from last day might make yours one of the last 1000 cars. Or even still the last 400cars.
Either way still big numbers.

Cool for you that you have a near end car and I would be stoked too. But wouldn't go paying big money to take it off your hands vs anything else if that's what you are asking.

And welcome to JC community friend.

Probably not relevant but may give you some idea about car manufacturing numbers.
Back in the late seventies early eighties, I worked at Fords in the UK, we were producing 900 Ford Escorts a day.

I’m just curious that’s all just happy to have one of the last so many different story’s some say last car was completed on the 18th( the last purchased redline) I know sv6 isn’t as important as a redline but still a great car

Official last car sits in the National Motor Museum in Birdwood. The "Last car" that sold at auction was the last in the body shop and paint shop

I know sv6 isn’t as important as a redline but still a great car

I never rated V6 Commodores beyond junk and we always bought 6 cylinder Falcons and the Commodore's were all V8's. I bought a '16 SV6 work ute a year ago to replace my old BA Falcon and despite also having a Redline ute as a toy basically to compare with the SV6, I take back the criticism I had for the V6 as I've got to really like it as a daily driver. The V6 engine's a bit flat down low compared with a Falcon but they rev nice with a better top end, they're fast enough, drive and handle well, the interior looks good, same as an SS and they're a great car with a much better seating position than any late model Falcon.

If someone thinks the SV6 isn't a good car, I don't think they've spent enough time driving one to dislike them!

Build rate at the end was 175/day. IIRC the last car made it the end of the Final 2 line on the 18th, and finished processing on the 19th,ready for the last day event on the 20th. An SV6 on the 16th was problemin the last ~200 or so cars.

Just look under the front bumper for the sticker that starts with "sent for vehicle" top left corner and 2 lines under that it has a SEQ(uence) number stated. The last car was "LAST" and the second last was general assembly SEQ No. 4218 from memory. So if yours is SEQ 4100 then its about the 118th last. I recently saw one at pickles built on the 17th Oct that was GA Seq 4186 or about the 36th last built. They seemed to slow right down in the last 2 or 3 days.
