Nice work mate, love it. 67-68 is the best shape Camaro ever built by a long shot, good to see one brought back to life and not a dodgy "just bondo it up" American resto.

Only thing i'd so if it was mine is lower it a bit and put a set of wheels on it.

Nice job.

Typical of the yanks in the late 60's.

Stuff in a 327 but leave drum brakes on the front end.....

LOL, funny you say that. My boss bought a 68 Camaro in the US last year, the guy had had the car fully "restored" (i use that term loosely when it comes to US cars) but the owner insisted that the drum brakes stay as he wanted to be able to see the original drums through the wheels....No booster or anything, it was seriously hard to stop. Bloody Americans.

Needless to say, the first thing my boss did was buy a complete disc brake kit while he was over there and it was the first thing we fitted when the car landed here.

I realise you were talking about GM themselves fitting drums when they were new, but you just reminded me of this guy.

Yep, correct. I was referring to the GM standards of those days.

The other point I noticed was the single leaf rear springs. I'm assuming that pic shows the complete rear suspension less shocks. Wonder what the original handling was like too?

Thank You for the kind words.

Loving it mate, how long did the process take?

About 6 months, in between working on customer cars.

Only thing i'd so if it was mine is lower it a bit and put a set of wheels on it.

Here is a 55 Chev being given the same treatment.
